Broadway's new children's activity park / playground

A 3 acre recreation ground, has been turned into a state of the art, Activity Park to be used and enjoyed by the whole community. The park is divided into 4 specific areas for different age groups and the distance between these areas is open grassland. There is lots of great play equipment including a see-saw, climbing poles, twin fly spinners, climbing towers a skate ride simulation and lots more.

The friendly line in the Cotswolds The GWR is a steam and diesel heritage railway in the Cotswolds. Since 1981, the volunteers have restored over 10 miles of line, together with platforms, buildings, steam and diesel locomotives and rolling stock. In addition to a scheduled service, GWR hosts a number of galas and enthusiasts’ events throughout the year, including our popular Santa Specials.

Walking the Cotswold Way
The Cotswold Way National Trail is a long distance walk of approximately 100 miles that runs along the Cotswold escarpment between Bath and Chipping Campden. On the trail you will experience stunning views across the Severn Vale to Brecon Beacons in Wales, Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean. You will walk through beech woods and pasture enclosed with traditional dry stone walls, see charming villages with Cotswold stone cottages and pass through sites of historic interest.

Chedworth Roman Villa
Remains of one of the largest Romano-British villas in the country. Over one mile of walls survives and there are several fine mosaics, two bathhouses, hypocausts, a water-shrine and latrine. Set in a wooded Cotswold combe near Cheltenham, the site was excavated in 1864 and still has a Victorian atmosphere.

Corinium Museum
After extensive redevelopment the Corinium Museum will be re-opening at 10:00am on Wednesday 15th September 2004.
Full-scale reconstructions bring to life the world of Roman Britain in Cirencester, the second largest town of the period. There are mosaics and military galleries that also cover prehistory, Medieval and Civil War eras.
