The Stocks	View to The Square

Stow on the Wold is one of the most visited of the towns and villages in The Cotswolds and stands at the top of a 700 feet high hill alongside the old Roman Fosse Way. When the Cotswold wool industry was at its height Stow was famous for its huge annual fairs where as many as 20,000 sheep were sold at a time. The vast Market Square, surrounded by ancient buildings testifies to the towns former importance.
